I am not very good at telling anyone about all the great projects that I have worked on, and it is nearly impossible for me to admit that I ever do a good job, but that is exactly what I have to do for my business. I have to “brag” about myself.
Everyone loves to get a pat on the back, but I have always cringed when I have been patted, maybe it is just a product of my shyness or the ideal of humility. I am trying to change – a little. I have started marketing my business, Occupant Productions, with the goal of taking the skills and experience that I have agained over the years in documentary production to help businesses and individuals tell their stories. The hard part about marketing for me is patting my own back, telling people that I do in fact have great experience and somehow God has giving me some talents.
How was that? Did that sound like I was bragging, I hope not.
